PetBuy.in is an online marketplace that connects pet buyers with verified breeders and sellers across India. We act as a platform and facilitator — we are not a pet seller, breeder, or agent. All transactions are directly between buyers and sellers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our platform. By using PetBuy.in, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and are using the service in compliance with all applicable laws.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of PetBuy.in, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in all interactions
• Treat all animals and other users with respect and dignity
• Not use the platform to facilitate animal cruelty, illegal trade, or fraudulent activity
• Conduct your own due diligence before purchasing a pet (visit the breeder, verify health documents)
• Not post misleading, false, or fraudulent listings
• Comply with all applicable animal welfare laws of India, including the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960

4. Breeder / Seller Responsibilities

All breeders and sellers listed on PetBuy.in agree to:

• Provide accurate pet information including age, breed, health status, and vaccination records
• Maintain the highest standards of animal welfare and humane treatment
• Not sell animals below 8 weeks of age (as recommended by veterinary standards)
• Provide a vet health certificate with every sale
• Not engage in mass-breeding (puppy mill) practices
• Not misrepresent the breed, lineage, or health of any animal

Violation of these terms may result in immediate removal from the platform and reporting to relevant authorities.

5. Disclaimer of Liability

PetBuy.in acts as a facilitator and does not make warranties about the accuracy of any listing or the quality or health of any pet. We are not responsible for any disputes, losses, or damages arising from transactions between buyers and sellers. We strongly encourage buyers to meet the pet in person and verify all health documentation before completing a purchase.

6. Animal Welfare Policy

PetBuy.in is deeply committed to animal welfare. We have a zero-tolerance policy for listings that involve:

• Puppy mills or mass-breeding facilities
• Wild, exotic, or illegally traded animals
• Animals subjected to cruel training or living conditions
• Sale of animals for scientific experiments or harmful purposes

Any such listings will be removed immediately and may be reported to law enforcement.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on PetBuy.in — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of PetBuy.in or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written permission.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
